A Brief History
The GFWC Carrollton Civic Woman's Club Salad Luncheon began 32 years ago when club members gathered for lunch and a good game of bridge to raise funds for community service projects. The CCWC Salad Luncheon is an event that club members and community participants look forward to each year. It requires much planning and preparation by each club member.
Because of strong community support, this event has grown in both popularity and success. Although it has been held at several locations, this year it will be hosted at Tabernacle Baptist Church in the Fellowship Hall. Every October club members prepare a luncheon of delicious salads. Bridge, however, is no longer played. Instead, the club offers silent auction items, estate sale treasures, bake sale goodies, and raffles. The Annual Salad Luncheon is the club's largest fundraiser of the year and hosts people from all over the county who come together for fellowship, and most importantly, to raise money for the community.
What to expect in 2025
The club is currently gearing up for the 2025 event. The 32nd Annual Charity Salad Luncheon & Silent Auction will be held on October 7th, from 11AM – 1PM at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Tickets are officially on sale! Click here to purchase or donate.
The No Salad, Salad Luncheon will be available again in 2025, which is where online donations can be made as early as the ticket sale date, until the end of the day on October 7, and these donations also apply the same as the annual event.
